oakesdale

This Sunday, I went down to Oakesdale, WA for my late grandfather's memorial service. The town itself has one foot in the grave; many of the buildings are boarded up, businesses long since folded, and not a soul in sight. I took a few shots of the town's rampant decay before the service. These pictures capture not only the desolation of the place, but also I think a certain violence.
